| What
does Shoebox Theatre do?
We welcome all who share our aims
and interests, as participants and volunteers.
We work to promote interaction
between different generations, using theatre games, role-play
and storytelling.
We particularly target people who
are elderly or disabled, because there are few opportunities locally
for them to work creatively.
We provide arts activities and
training for "Third Age" volunteers in role play and storytelling.

With our volunteers we devise and
lead school workshops which support the curriculum on the social
history of Britain and other subjects.
With our volunteers we undertake
reminiscence work in residential and nursing care homes.
We work with people living with
dementia and use theatre games and reminiscence activities to
entertain and encourage them to engage with others.
We have small-scale productions
in repertoire suitable for community venues.
